In this article Prof. Simon Biesheuvel, who is the director of the Graduate School of Business Administration of the University of the Witwatersrand, deals with the conventional problem, and the statutary implications, of the Trades Unions’ resistance to the training of Blacks as apprentices and the Whites' reluctance to share skilled jobs with Blacks.
