Abstract

In the previous issue of Business Management an optimisation algorithm for multimodel production on a paced production line was presented. This publication deals with the application of the algorithm to an actual production facility excluding the scheduling phase. The applicability of the algorithm is tested in respect of determining an optimal cycle time for the multi-model production line, optimal batch sizes and balancing the production line for three product types.
