The 1978 Budget: It's effect on the economy

Abstract

The effects of the 1978 budget on the South African economy, and likely economic developments in the near future were keenly discussed at a meeting of the South African Association of Business Management held in Pretoria on October 24. The meeting was attended by some 65 businessmen and -women mainly from Johannesburg and Pretoria, representing various sectors including manufacturing, banking, in¬surance, property and business academia.
